Well that's okay, Brian Nygaard has an improbably round head like Bunsen Honeydew. An observation of course, not a criticism!
Coug, how is Andy-hab going? I think my new distraction tactic is to admire the cute boy who works at one of the libraries I study in. So instead of pining after the unattainable, tomato-hating cyclist from some faraway Grand Duchy I hitherto knew NOTHING about, I can pine after the unattainable (but local!) circulation desk boy, whom I try to dodge when I’m checking-out books :P

Pffff! Oh dear, Leelu has Twittered me to say, in a voice of dooooom, We Are No Longer Friends! Aww, I was only teasing! I will try to find a nice pic of Jakob to make amends...
Figgy, good point, Brian Bunsen!
And thank you for reminding us of that video, there's another one where Andy is apparently advertising ketchup, which is even funnier, if anyone knows where it is... he ends up conducting a ragged choir, if I remember it correctly...
I, too, eat ketchup (although I wouldn't say that I can't live without it) but can't stand eating actual tomatoes, ugh, those squeaky skins then you get through the skin and Squelch! juice and pips everywhere, odd texture, funny taste, wuuu, no thanks.
I don't think I've come across the ketchup ad, but there is an advert for Sony Ericsson, where he seems to be conducting his own fan club to sing an Andy anthem!

On the subject of look-a-likes, I submit for your delectation, conductor Nicholas Collon:
This comparison makes me think of the comparison my husband just showed me. Andy and Sid the Sloth. I vehemently disagreed there was any comparison.
I can't live without ketchup, I often will eat foods just to eat ketchup. Really fries are just a transporter of ketchup for me. I do like tomatoes though, fresh from the garden on a summer day rinsed off with the hose :)
Ah, tartare sauce, yum, have to agree with Figgy on that one - I like lashings of the stuff, preferably on scampi and chips.
Emily, I had to look up Sid the Sloth, and am now huffing indignantly - there is no comparison! None! Please tell your husband that I said so!!!!
Figgy, well done, that was indeed the video I was thinking of, where he conducts the singing. It cracks me up every time that the voice-over says everthing in Foreign except for the phrase "easy terms" which presumably doesn't translate very well!
Now you have to go and do more research, to find the video where he is advertising tomato ketchup. Go on, off you go!
Oh, and Figgy, your conductor guy? Too girly for me. I'll stick to OGL, if you don't mind. (*sniggers - sorry!*)
You!... *shakes head* I can't talk to you right now Cougar Girl! <-- tell-tale sign of "crankiness", using full name. ;P

Yay, Jakob-pic!! You shall be forgiven <3 (don't even THINK it! It's a heart!)

Emily B, I'm convinced I consume fish & chips, just so I have an excuse to indulge in tartar sauce.
ReplyDeleteI love roasted tomatoes, particularly in tarts with caramelized onions, a bit of thyme, Parmesan, and goat cheese...
