Look at this little report, found on the Team Radioshack website
The report reads as follows - my comments in brackets.
"Luxembourg’s cyclist-of-the-moment, (huh! how rude!) Andy Schleck, has reacted to reports in yesterday’s French daily sports newspaper, l’Equipe, (oh blimey, them again) that negotiations were at an advanced stage of him joining Lance Armstrong’s cycling team for next season.
Armstrong confirmed during the recent Tour de France that he will be forming a new team next year, with the title sponsor being Radio Shack, an electronics retail chain in the US.
Yesterday’s report also alleged that Armstrong was interested only in the the younger of the Schleck brothers, Andy, and not in his elder brother.
Andy Schleck dismissed these rumours and said that both he and his brother would be riding for the Saxo Bank team next season, and that if he were to move at some time in the future, he would move with his brother."

It was also rumored late last summer (2010) if Leopard Trek didn't recieve their license, then Andy and Frank would both have fallback positions with Radioshack for 2011.

PS Where on earth is "Teaneck, New Jersey"? Is that a real place name?
ReplyDeletePPS, as you know, I am terminally geekish when it comes to statistics and stuff, so brace yourself, here's today little amusement - over the last week, of the top 10 search terms used by people coming to this blog (ie not coming directly via a link, or already knowing the address) 5 of them included "Jil", 2 included the word "girlfriend" (as well as Andy Schleck, of course) and the other three were variations on the theme of Eisen Andy - which seems to indicate that people knew the blog, but couldn't quite remember what it was called.
So 70% of "new" viewers are still getting here thanks to being interested in OGL's love life!
I shall have to start some Schpleculation on that topic, perhaps.....

ReplyDeleteA couple of weeks ago, the third highest search term was "Leea Schleck" and I hardly ever mention her, poor pet!
