Just the other day, LLB told me it was time to stop wearing my much-loved Lux Ensign socks, as worn by Our Andy, and even, back in happier times, Our Jakob.
"What!" I screamed, "There's plenty of life left in them!"
LLB gently pointed out that they were no longer blue-and-white stripes, but blue-and-grey: the red griffon was fraying at the edges: and - the final crushing blow - they were actually worn right through underneath.

I have to admit, he's right: they are indeed worn right through.

ReplyDeleteAndy is showing...ok...in TOC. Having those moments of - "oh look! There's Andy!".
But this race - so far - has been insanely brutal in terms of temperatures - uphill in 155 degrees...gimme a break! NO ONE should be subjected to that. So...many are very upset. If it was snow or a blizzard - they'd have cancelled. Heat can be even more dangerous. Anyhow - all teams shined! And "our Andy" seems to be BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yeehaw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Althoug, we know he's just testing...trying...but gad's it was great to see him attack at one point today! Shirt unzipped.....the Ol Andy! LOVE IT~!
